What is Scientific Pitch Notation?

Scientific Pitch Notation (SPN) names a pitch by combining the note name with an octave number. Middle C is C4.

What is Helmholtz pitch notation?

Helmholtz notation uses upper-case letters for lower octaves, lower-case letters for higher octaves, and apostrophes or commas to mark register. Middle C is written c’.

What is the difference between B and H?

In International notation, B means B-natural and B♭ means B-flat. In German/Nordic notation, H means B-natural and B means B-flat. The trainer supports both systems.
