Marcato with tenuto line

Marcato-tenuto combines a strongly marked attack with a sustained or weighty note. It does not mean staccato: the horizontal tenuto stroke argues against an automatically clipped release.

Marcato with tenuto line: music notation symbol placed above the note. Strong attack from above, but held its full length.
