I coordinated, taught and mentored the NyKlang 2025 process as a platform for young composers before conservatory level.
The students came from different parts of Denmark. My work was to gather the project, teach through the process, and help the students move from separate pieces toward a shared concert form.
With Cornelia Karlsson and Jens Rønsholdt as mentors, the students developed works that could stand on their own, but also touch and answer each other.
At my suggestion, the concert material was woven together in a kind of rondo-like form. The individual voices remained clear, but the pieces returned inside a larger situation. That was the interesting part: the students were not only writing pieces, but discovering what happens when pieces are placed in relation.
