From 2018 to 2022, Daniel Fladmose worked as composer and arranger under the Danish Arts Foundation’s Huskunstnerordningen on Den mørke vind, a multi-year project connected with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra.
The project was created for children with little or no prior knowledge of classical music. Daniel composed music while also communicating the compositional process itself: how musical ideas are formed, how an orchestra can tell a story, and how children can enter classical music through imagination before they know its technical language.
The project resulted in orchestral recording and educational material connected to Cecilie Eken’s literary universe.
